Photo Restoration
All photographs are carefully inspected to access the level of restoration and editing that is required and an estimate of time and cost is provided. Not all images require the full service treatment so I provide a basic, medium and high level service. Cost is quote based process based on estimated time taken to complete the task, see price list for rates.
Please note that all scanned images receive a basic dust removal cleaning, minor scratch fixing and color correction included in the price. But sometimes, especially our most precious and antique photographs require a fuller editing and restoration treatment.
Full service editing and restoration
Your photographs are handled with care wearing lintless white gloves . Dust is removed and your photographs receive a gentle cleaning to remove stains, grease, finger print oils, any adhesive residue, mildew, smoke/soot damage and inks.
Your photograph is scanned by a professional grade flatbed scanner at 1200 dpi resolution to bring out a high amount of detail from the image.
The scanned high resolution image is then opened in Photoshop and is cropped as necessary.
With the cropped image the work begins on removing scratches, damage and bringing out the best of the photograph.
Distracting elements can be removed such as the washing line in the background of this sample image.
